Our Trip to Conner Prairie

This post was written by Mrs. Trammell's class. Mrs. Trammell typed it. :)

We went to Conner Prairie by a bus. We had a lot of fun.
We first went into the Discovery Room. The Discover Room is a playroom where you get to play. We played in the loft. We had a snowball fight. We built forts.

Next we went outside to find a really, really old building made out of red bricks. It was the Conner House. It is 200 years old.
Inside the Conner House we heard a story. It was The Gingerbread Man. The story sounded a lot other gingerbread man stories we've read, but this one didn't have pictures.
Then we went into a really old kitchen. The farmer's wife was there and she was making cookies. She put flour on our cheeks! Some of us were able to help get the gingerbread out of the oven, but the oven was empty. The gingerbread man had popped out!

So we went to the barn to look for the gingerbread man. We saw sheep. We saw goats. We asked if they had seen the gingerbread man. We sang a song. (Ask your child to sing it to you!--Mrs. T).
But the gingerbread man couldn't be found in the barn.

Just outside of the barn were footprints. We followed them. The footprints led us to the gingerbread man!

We found the gingerbread man and he invited us to do the gingerbread dance. We got to take our picture with him.

Next we made a train to go to a party. We got to decorate a cookie with frosting and then we ate it.

We liked it a lot. We love Conner Prairie.
